A new tradition begins as the Blue-White spring game goes under the lights at the new stadium. In previous years, it was held at the practice fields. The festivities began at 5pm with the kiddos participating in a punt, pass, and kick competition. The freshmen got in a 40 minute scrimmage before the varsity took to the field for their game. Not a bad turnout from the fans on a cool night at Panther Stadium.

The road to the state championship stopped in Duncanville as Forney closed out the 3-game series with an impressive 7-1 win over Midlothian. Forney got a 3-run HR early and kept the momentum for the rest of the game.

It was great shooting the end of the season with you and look forward to next spring. Best of luck to the seniors as they count down their final days of high school.

Now I know why the photographer and the parents have gray hair. Eight scoreless innings pass before our Lady Panthers got rolling in the 9th. Tori smashes a shot to deep right field for a triple with Megan getting a base hit to drive her in.

Midlothian battled for 9 innings losing in a 1-0 heartbreaker. Strong pitching by both sides and great defensive plays made for an edge-of-your-seat game. Midlothian scored early, however, the score was nullified with an “interference” call at shortstop. If Derek Jeter was playing… maybe. Game pics are now posted.

After last night, I’m already exhausted from the do-or-die one game playoff series when the girls won in extra innings. And here we go again as Midlothian takes on Woodrow Wilson in Waxahachie. This game was over early as the bats were alive and very active. Cody Neef sent one over the left field wall and strong pitching from Wayne Warren and Justin Godwin sealed the deal. Very impressive win.

Congrats to the Lady Panthers fighting through 9 innings to pull off the 5-4 victory over Waco Midway. This was a one-game, winner moves on duel. Midlothian was up for the task. Jessica’s 2-run shot over the left field fence got the girls off to a 4-0 lead. Midway came back the following inning and it was game on from there. Lindsay battled through some amazing innings with little to no help from the umpire’s strike zone. And just about anything hit in the outfield was stolen away by Tori in centerfield. Pics to be posted over the weekend. GREAT GAME GIRLS!
